Ongoing duo with Billy Steiger - celeste, computer Paul Abbott - real and imaginary drums, computer

Steiger and Abbott take the unorthadox instrumental combination of percussion, computer/s and celeste/a (a “bell-piano”) as a point of departure for a journey through and with the spaces of performance out/into the musical unknown.

For over a decade Steiger and Abbott have been playing at the edges of improvisation, structure and sound technologies through various expanded live performances and collaborative projects. Beyond the sounds, histories, and imaginaries they explore through drums and violin respectively, their wide ranging interdisciplinary work has also involved writing, painting and moving image.
